Here we have the Fender PM-2 Deluxe Parlour Acoustic Guitar, hailing from the brand new Fender Paramount series. Fender chose to develop the Paramount range of guitars to bring you a set of instruments with an all-solid construction using high quality tonewoods and fitting them with a bespoke preamp that efficiently translates the overall acoustic timbre either naturally, or through an amplifier. The PM-2 Deluxe is a compact, comfortable Parlour acoustic guitar with plenty of top quality features to make it a must-have in your collection.

PREMIUM TONEWOOD

The PM-2 is shaped to the contours of a Parlour guitar body, which in recent years has regained recognition among guitarists from all walks of life. Although a Parlour body is characteristically smaller in size, the cautious combination of premium tonewoods and a first-rate preamp means that you won,t lose out on a big sound output.

A solid spruce top works magnificently alongside the shape of the body, allowing your acoustic sound to be accurately projected. The rosewood back and sides partners the spruce to offer a versatile and flexible range of tones. A decorative 1960s checkerboard pattern is used for the purfling and soundhole rosette that offers a distinctive appearance.

NECK

Fender have fitted a mahogany neck to the PM-2 Deluxe which has a well-known ""C""profile and a smooth, comfortable playing feel. Aboard the neck is an ebony, 19-fret fingerboard adorned with 60s style mop / abalone concert tone inlays to guide you from one fret to another.

FENDER PARAMOUNT PREAMP

The PM-2 Deluxe Parlour is equipped with onboard Fishman electronics, the Paramount preamp, which further enhances your acoustic tone. The Paramount preamp has a bass and treble EQ to contour your sound accurately. The preamp also includes a conveniently built-in tuner to ensure your strings remain as correctly tuned as possible. The Phase control plays an important role in ultimately reducing any feedback or unwanted noise that you can sometimes get when playing live, thus this is incredibly handy onstage. The Fender / Fishman preamp invigorates your acoustic output through any desired amplifier.

HARDWARE AND FINISH

Fender have fitted an ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle to the lower bout of the PM-2 Deluxe to ensure that the connection between the body and strings remains in tact.

Open back nickel tuners sit firmly attached to the headstock, with black buttons which feel easy and comfortable to adjust.

A one-ply tortoiseshell Fender Kingman pickguard complements the finish and checkerboard rosette while offering added protection against scratches.

To ensure that the PM-2 is kept in immaculate condition, Fender supply a deluxe hardshell case and humidifier. Both accessories are fundamental in keeping the guitar in the best possible condition.
