The hand-painted Strat existed only in photographs and film footage before Fender painstakingly recreated the distinctive visual aesthetic. Classic Stratocaster body

The Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster is shaped to the instantly recognisable double-cutaway Strat body, with ergonomically designed contours that make it one of the most comfortable guitars ever created. The body is crafted using alder, which is a lightweight yet tonally balanced wood that enhances the Strat's versatile character.

As part of the homage to Hendrix's exceptional Strat, the body is adorned with the same eye-catching hand-painted nail polish artwork that travels across the upper bout, across the pickguard and lower bout. A protective layer of gloss polyurethane preserves the finish for as long as possible.

Smooth playing maple neck

Fitted to the body is a maple neck, which has been shaped to the comfortable ""C"" shape profile to offer a reassuringly substantial feel in the hand without becoming cumbersome. Married to the neck is a gorgeous pau ferro fingerboard, which is home to 21 frets that are adorned with aged white dot position inlays. At the top of the neck is a synthetic bone nut, which maintains string position and spacing dutifully. The 7.25-inch fingerboard radius guarantees that string bends are executed smoothly, whilst accommodating speedy licks and solos. The neck plate on the rear of the guitar features a unique ""Authentic Hendrix"" etching, complete with artist portrait.

A trio of single-coil Strat' pickups fitted in the neck/middle/bridge positions create authentic Fender tones.
