The Fender guitar makers in Japan have drawn influence from some of the original models made in the 50s to give us this Special Run Telecaster. With the classic Tele shape and designed using high quality materials, this Japanese FSR guitar has a real, authentic 50s feel and sound.

          Body

The Telecaster has an iconic shape, and this FSR model keeps that famous Tele style alive. A solidbody built from ash contributes to its well-known rich, bright tones with plenty of sustain. The ash body feels comfortable to wield, while the single cutaway allows for easy reach to the upper registers of the neck. The body is given a polyurethane coating and finished in White Blonde.

          Neck

The Japanese FSR Classic 50s Tele has been fitted with a one-piece maple neck shaped to a robust yet comfortable slim ""C"" profile. The 25.5 inch scale length neck is joined firmly by a 4-bolt neck joint and given a polyurethane finish for a smoother grip. Aboard the neck is a maple fingerboard which boasts 21 frets on a sumptuous playing surface. The frets are decorated with black dot inlays to guide you with confidence.

          Electronics

The Fender Telecaster is recognised for its bright sound, and has often been a popular choice in genres such as jazz and country among many others. Fender's expert luthiers in Japan have employed a Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele pickup in the bridge position which is paired with a Dragster C pickup in the neck. The single coil pickup delivers the quintessential Fender Telecaster sound, while the Dragster C adds a vintage low-mid humbucker output, giving this 50s style guitar a modern feel.

The Special Run Classic 50s Tele is equipped with Master Volume and Master Tone controls and accompanied by a 3-way pickup toggle switch. Shaping your desired tone is made incredibly simple.

          Hardware

Fender have fitted a 6-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body Telecaster bridge with threaded steel saddles, designed to enhance intonation and sustain. Up at the headstock, Gotoh cast-sealed tuners uphold tuning integrity with precision for each individual string.

The White Blonde colour of the body is complemented by a 1-ply black pickguard which acts to protect against scratches.

Fender Japan have only created a limited number of this take on a Classic 50s Telecaster, and with an authentic, vintage design this is a guitar well worth adding to your collection.
