The Duo Sonic guitar was first released in the mid-1950s and since then there have been various versions. This brand new Duo Sonic guitar from Fender hails from their Offset series which draws its influence from the first Duo Sonic of 1956. This modern, short-scale guitar is designed to sound impressive and be equally fun to play.

BODY

The Duo Sonic has a short-scale, smaller size in comparison to some of Fender's most famous models. This makes it incredibly comfortable to play, even for smaller or perhaps younger guitarists, but it is also just as accommodating for the more enthusiastic performers onstage. The Duo Sonic has a solid alder body which is then given a gloss polyester finish, adding protection to the body to enable it to last for many years to come.

NECK

A maple neck is firmly fitted to the Duo Sonic and shaped to a comfortable, modern ""C"" profile, a suitable shape for all guitar players. The neck features a slick satin polyurethane finish to add protection but also improve the overall playing feel. Topping the neck is a 9.5 inch maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets at your service. Black dot inlays decorate the frets to guide you as you make smooth transitions from one to the next.

DUO SONIC PICKUPS

This modern Fender is fitted with two Duo Sonic single coil pickups, with one in the neck position and the other in the bridge position. Each of the single coil pickups give the Duo Sonic guitar an expansive, flexible range of tones whether you play heavy chord formations or enjoy slick arpeggios.

A Master Volume control and Master Tone control enable you to achieve your desired Duo Sonic sound. The short scale of the guitar enhances the tone, giving it plenty of warmth while improving the overall feel as you play. A 3-way pickup toggle switch allows you to alter between pickups for an expressive voice.

HARDWARE AND FINISH

A 6-saddle strings-through-body Strat hardtail bridge with bent steel saddles is fitted to the lower bout of the body, providing reliable tuning in collaboration with the strings and Fender Standard Cast/Sealed tuning machines.

Aesthetic appointments such as the 3-ply mint green pickguard and nickel/chrome hardware complement the guitar's gloss polyester finish.
