This 2017 Limited Edition model features an incredibly rare Shedua top, okoume body and superior single-coil pickups for an exceptional Strat sound and feel. Body

The sheer class of the traditional Stratocaster has been completely elevated in this 2017 Limited Edition version. Moving away from Fender's conventional materials, this edition has a stunning shedua top which produces a different sonic accent. The double cutaway body is maintained to give you complete access to all the frets on offer. The shedua body top has a beautiful tight grain which contributes to the guitar's natural finish.

The rest of the body is made up from okoume rather than alder for a snappier attack which works brilliantly alongside the warm shedua top.

Neck

The figured maple neck has the new modern ""Deep C"" profile for an optimal grip in your hand. Maple is also the choice of tonewood used in the fingerboard and it is a very slick playing surface beneath the fingertips. There are 20 narrow tall frets on offer decorated with easy-to-see black dot inlays, and each fret provides ample space to perform impressive string bends.

V-Mod Pickups

The rich tones from the okoume and shedua body partnership are transferred beautifully through an amp via the three V-Mod single-coil pickups. Each pickup has been individually voiced to suit their specific positions in the neck, middle and bridge. Thanks to a mix of alnico magnets powering the single-coil pickups, this Limited Edition covers a broad range of tonal frequencies without compromising on the traditional Strat sound.

Controls include Master Volume and two-Tone control, and the Volume now includes a treble-bleed tone circuit for better clarity than before. A 5-position switch blade allows you to separate and blend the pickups to suit your playing needs.

Hardware

Many artists and musicians enjoy being able to experiment with string bends on a Strat, so the 2-point synchronised tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles and pop-in tremolo arm will be a welcome appointment. Fender guarantee tuning accuracy in the form of the standard cast / sealed staggered tuning machines fitted to the traditional Stratocaster headstock.

The beautiful natural appearance of the Shedua top Strat is complete with a 1-ply brown anodised aluminium pickguard plus nickel/chrome hardware. Fender recognise how important it is to keep your new, rare Limited Edition axe best-protected, and so each Shedua Top Stratocaster comes supplied with a hard case to do just that.
