Cool Tele-style

The classic single-cutaway body profile is present and correct, combining playing comfort and solid workmanship in a timeless design. The body has been crafted using alder, a tonewood that Fender have been drawn to for decades, thanks in no small part to its balanced timbre that adapts well to any musical style. The lightweight feel of alder enhances playing comfort and adds to the Strats heavenly feel. The body has been coated in a protective layer of gloss urethane to preserve.

Redesigned Neck Profile

As with other models in their 2017 American Pro series, the neck of the Telecaster Deluxe features a new ""Deep C"" profile. The design lies somewhere between a ""Modern C"" and ""U""-shaped profile, and creates a more natural feel in the hand that is perfectly aligned with both chord and single-note playing alike. The neck is built using sturdy and supportive maple, whilst the satin urethane finish allows your fretting hand to glide along it effortlessly.

Paired with the neck is a 22-fret maple fingerboard that bears narrow-tall frets. As the name suggests, these frets are narrower and taller than their medium-jumbo siblings, resulting in improved string bending and chord playing further up the neck with exceptional intonation.

Tim Shaw-designed ShawBuckers

As the name would suggest, the Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker is equipped with a pair of Tim Shaw designed ShawBucker humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Each pickup is specifically voiced to suit each position, producing powerful bursts of energy, with delicately balanced notes that perfectly complements the character of the Tele' Deluxe.

Control comes in the form of a three-way pickup toggle switch that allows each pickup to be selected individually, or both pickups simultaneously. Each pickup has a corresponding volume control with Treble Bleed circuitry, which preserves the clarity of high-end notes at low volume levels for improved tone control. In addition to this, each pickup has an independent tone control knob.

Gig-Ready Hardware

The body is home to a 6-saddle strings-through-body Strat hardtail bridge with bent steel saddles, which creates a seamless connection between the strings and body for optimised intonation and sustain. The headstock is equipped with Fender standard cast/sealed staggered tuning machines, which work alongside the bone nut to uphold string tension accurately, whilst maintaining tuning integrity with precision.
